Shapewear Misconceptions

Myth 1: The tighter the shapewear, the better the results.
This is definitely not the case. Overly tight shapewear can cause difficulty breathing and symptoms like chest tightness. You will feel uncomfortable as soon as you put it on. Do not wear overly constricting shapewear just for the sake of temporary visual slimming; it does all kinds of harm to the body and no good at all.

Myth 2: Wearing shapewear while sleeping and wearing it for longer periods yields better results.
This must be strictly avoided. Wearing shapewear for long periods can lead to poor blood circulation throughout the body and can also affect metabolism. In severe cases, it may cause symptoms such as dizziness and headaches. It is strongly not recommended to wear shapewear for extended periods. It is suggested that daily wear should not exceed 8 hours. Absolutely do not wear it while sleeping; give your body time to rest and relax.

Myth 3: Shapewear ≠ Weight Loss. Wearing shapewear doesn’t mean you can binge eat, avoid exercise, and still get thin.
Shapewear does indeed create a visually slimming effect by compressing fat, and sticking with it over the long term will certainly lead to a significant improvement in body shape. Furthermore, the constriction of the shapewear can help with appropriate portion control, which can lead to weight loss to a certain extent. However, shapewear cannot directly reduce body weight.
