Open-Bust Front-Hook Post-Surgery Compression Bodysuit with Adjustable Support Bands
This sleeveless compression bodysuit combines an open-bust neckline, adjustable shoulder straps, full front hook-and-eye entry, a wide upper support band and separate lower front tabs. The connected torso extends from below the bust through the waist, abdomen, hips and brief-style lower section, while the open bust lets you choose your own bra.
The design is built for customers who want several fitting zones instead of one continuous pull-on garment. The shoulder straps set the upper height, the front hooks close the main torso, the wide band adjusts across the upper torso, and the lower tabs help position the brief section. Each zone should sit evenly without sharp pressure or forced closure.
Designed Around Real Fit Frustrations
“I need to wear my own bra.”
The open-bust shape leaves the cup area uncovered, so you are not locked into a built-in cup size or shape. Any bra shown in the photos is separate and is not included.
“Pull-on compression is difficult to manage.”
The torso opens down the front with hook-and-eye columns. You can position the lower body and straps before closing the waist and abdomen section.
“The top edge rolls or shifts.”
A wide adjustable band wraps across the upper torso below the bust area. It can be positioned independently instead of relying only on shoulder-strap tension.
“One size fits my waist but not my thighs.”
The approved chart includes underbust, waist and thigh measurements. Comparing all three helps avoid choosing only by height or body weight.
“The lower section feels hard to position.”
Separate lower front tabs let you settle the brief section before fastening it. They should lie flat without pulling the leg openings sharply upward.
“I want Black and Beige to show the same product.”
The new gallery shows the same open-bust, front-hook and adjustable-band construction in both live colors. The previous unrelated gallery images are no longer used.
Best For
- Open-bust wear with a separate bra.
- Customers who prefer front hook entry instead of pulling firm torso panels over the head.
- Coverage through the waist, abdomen, hips and brief-style lower body.
- Adjustable shoulder straps and a separate upper support band.
- Black or Beige across the complete S–2XL live matrix.
- Layering beneath everyday clothing when visible hook rows and garment edges are acceptable.
How the Construction Works
Open-bust neckline
The front curves beneath and around the bust rather than covering the cups. This keeps bra selection separate from the bodysuit size.
Adjustable shoulder straps
The straps help set the vertical position of the neckline and upper torso. They should not carry so much tension that the garment pulls upward through the lower body.
Front hook-and-eye columns
Multiple hook columns run through the center torso. The front edges should meet in a straight line without twisting or bowing outward.
Wide upper support band
The band crosses below the bust area and fastens around the upper torso. It provides an additional adjustment point above the waist.
Structured torso panels
Vertical panel lines shape the garment through the waist and abdomen. They create a close external garment feel while worn without promising a lasting body change.
Lower front tabs
The lower tabs fasten over the brief-style front section. They should close securely without digging into the hip crease or changing the natural position of the leg openings.
How the Fit Should Feel
The garment should feel close and evenly distributed from the underbust area through the waist, abdomen, hips and upper thighs. The straps should stay in place without biting into the shoulders, and the upper band should lie flat rather than folding into the skin.
At the front, the hook rows should close in a straight vertical line. If the upper hooks close but the waist hooks cannot meet without strong pulling, use the waist and thigh measurements rather than tightening only the shoulder straps or upper band.
The lower tabs should sit symmetrically. If they pull the crotch upward, distort the leg openings or create concentrated pressure, reopen the lower section, smooth the torso panels downward and reassess the size before extended wear.
More pressure is not automatically a better fit. A suitable starting size should let you breathe normally, sit, stand and walk while the garment remains aligned.

Underbust
Measure around the rib area directly beneath the bust. Keep the tape level and close without pulling it inward.
Waist
Measure the natural waist while standing normally. Do not hold the breath or tighten the tape.
Thigh
Measure around the fullest upper-thigh area relevant to the leg opening. Keep your weight distributed evenly.
Different size results
Begin with the larger live size when underbust, waist and thigh measurements do not fall in the same row.

How to Put It On
- Open the main torso hooks, upper support band and lower front tabs.
- Step into the brief section and bring the garment evenly over the hips.
- Guide each arm through a shoulder strap and adjust the strap length loosely.
- Smooth the back and side panels before closing the center torso hooks.
- Fasten the main hooks gradually, alternating sections instead of pulling one area closed all at once.
- Position and close the wide upper band below the bust area.
- Settle the lower section and close the front tabs without lifting the leg openings.
- Put on the separate bra and check that the open-bust edge remains outside the cups.
- Recheck breathing, sitting comfort, shoulder tension and lower-tab position.
What Each Adjustment Zone Controls
The shoulder straps, upper band, center hook rows and lower tabs do different jobs. They should work together rather than compensating for one another. Begin with the straps loose enough to settle the torso panels, then close the center hooks before tightening the upper band or lower tabs.
Shoulder straps
The straps control the vertical position of the open-bust edge and upper back. Shortening them should not be used to force a loose waist section upward.
Upper support band
The wide band adds a separate adjustment point below the bust area. It should lie flat across the torso without folding, twisting or pressing into the bra band.
Center hook rows
The hook columns set the main waist and abdomen fit. Start with the row that closes evenly, then reassess after the garment settles rather than forcing the tightest row immediately.
Lower front tabs
The lower tabs help position the brief section across the lower abdomen and hip crease. They should not pull the crotch upward or change the natural angle of the leg openings.
Fit Troubleshooting Before Extended Wear
If the garment feels uneven, reopen the adjustable sections and check where the tension begins. A problem at the shoulders may come from straps that are too short, while a lower-body problem may come from the waist or thigh measurement rather than the strap setting.
- Hooks bow outward: the torso size may be too small, or the panels may not be centered before fastening.
- Upper band rolls: loosen the band, smooth the back and side panels, and confirm that the bra band is not pushing against it.
- Straps dig into the shoulders: lengthen the straps and check whether the torso is being pulled upward to compensate for a tight waist or thigh area.
- Leg openings lift or pinch: reopen the lower tabs, settle the brief section lower, and compare the thigh measurement with the chart.
- Open-bust edge cuts into the cups: verify bra placement and strap length, then choose a larger bodysuit size when the edge cannot remain outside the cups.
- Back panel wrinkles: center the garment from the hips upward and adjust both shoulder straps evenly before tightening the upper band.
Allow a short fitting check while standing, sitting and walking. The goal is a stable, even garment fit—not the strongest pressure you can tolerate.
Not Ideal For
This style is not ideal when you need built-in bra cups, sleeves, thigh-length or full-leg coverage, a zipper closure, a low-back cut, or a fully pull-on design without hooks. It is also not suitable when your underbust, waist or thigh measurement falls outside the complete S–2XL range.
Choose Another Style If
- You want the bust fully covered by the garment.
- You need upper-arm or shoulder coverage beyond narrow straps.
- You prefer a zipper rather than multiple hook-and-eye sections.
- You need compression extending through the thighs or legs.
- You want a thong, mid-thigh or full-leg lower body instead of brief coverage.
- Your measurements point outside the live S–2XL chart.
Care Notes
- Close the center hooks, upper band and lower tabs before washing.
- Use cool water, mild detergent and a laundry bag.
- Air dry away from direct heat.
- Do not pull the garment into position using only the shoulder straps.
- Inspect hook rows, tab stitching, strap adjusters and leg openings before wear.
- Store with hooks closed so they do not catch other fabrics.

FAQ
What type of closure does this bodysuit use?
The torso uses multiple front hook-and-eye columns. The upper support band and lower front tabs also fasten separately so each section can be positioned before final adjustment.
Does it include a bra?
No. The bodysuit has an open-bust neckline and is shown with a separate bra for styling. Choose your own bra based on cup shape and comfort.
Which measurement should lead my size choice?
Compare underbust, waist and thigh measurements with the table. When the measurements point to different live sizes, begin with the larger size rather than forcing the smaller row.
What is the adjustable upper band for?
The wide band wraps across the upper torso below the bust area. It helps position the top edge and can be adjusted independently from the main torso hooks.
How should the lower tabs fit?
The lower tabs should close without pulling the leg openings upward or creating sharp pressure through the groin. Recheck the size if the lower section cannot lie flat.
Can I wear it beneath clothing?
The smooth torso and back panels are designed to layer beneath clothing. Hook rows, tabs and garment edges may still show under very thin or close-fitting fabrics.
When is this style not a good match?
Choose another style if you need built-in bra cups, sleeves, thigh-length coverage, a zipper closure, a low-back cut or a fully pull-on design without hooks.
How should I wash it?
Close the hooks and tabs before washing, use cool water and mild detergent, place the garment in a laundry bag, and air dry away from direct heat.
